“MIXERCISE,” a workshop curated by Kimhung, celebrates the power of creative collaboration, inspired by the merger of ROYAL and SUNDANCE® into the new ROYAL SUNDANCE™ brand. This project explores the dynamic between “Creative Design” and “Traditional Workmanship” through four unique pairings: Puppet & Shadow Play x Design, Urban Farmer x Design, Photography x Colouring, and Paper Craftsman x Character.
Kimhung encourages audience interaction and co-creation, shifting the focus from final artworks to the entire creative journey. Distinctive visuals representing each pairing, featuring unique typography, are showcased on the covers of the introductory publication and promotional materials.
The introductory publication, utilising the new ROYAL SUNDANCE™ paper collection with unique print finishes, embodies the “MIXERCISE” concept itself. With its innovative binding and multiple entry points, it reflects the unexpected and exciting outcomes of these collaborations. The publication features literature, dialogues, and imagery that capture the experiences and insights of each creative pair, highlighting the value of the entire creative journey.
