Causeway Brewing was founded in 2023 by twin brothers, both passionate craft beer enthusiasts, who grew up in the bustling heart of Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Their deep-rooted connection to the neighbourhood inspired the brand’s namesake.
The key visual is a captivating illustration of a copper gong, a traditional instrument with a name that cleverly echoes “Causeway Bay” in Cantonese. This fusion of craft beer and the gong embodies the brand’s spirit, personified as the welcoming “Gong Spirit”. Eager to share the joy of craft beer with the world, the Gong Spirit has watchful eyes and extendable open arms, ready to introduce newcomers to their crafted brews.
Each beer’s name is playfully tattooed on the Gong Spirit’s arm, a creative expression of the founders’ unwavering passion for brewing. This visual metaphor aptly conveys the idea of “craft beer in their veins” – a passion so deeply ingrained it’s an inseparable part of their lives.
