HKIA 13'

The theme Skyscape for the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Annual Awards 2013 explores the dynamic relationship between architecture and the sky. Inspired by the diverse perspectives one encounters when looking up from various points in the city, the design captures how buildings and the sky coexist and create unique skyscapes. To bring this concept to life, layers of laser-cut cardboard were used to create silhouettes of architectural forms, mimic the perspectives of the city’s skyline. The layered construction gives a sense of depth, echoing the complexity and beauty of urban environments, and serves as a striking visual representation of the interplay between architecture and nature.
