For the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Annual Awards 2013, the theme “Skyscape” was developed to explore the dynamic interplay between architecture and the sky.  Inspired by the diverse views of the skyline from various vantage points in the city, the design illustrates how buildings and the sky coexist to create unique skyscapes.

To realise this concept, layers of laser-cut cardboard form silhouettes of architectural structures, mimicking the city’s skyline perspectives. This layered construction adds depth, reflecting the complexity and beauty of urban environments and serving as a striking visual representation of the interplay between architecture and nature.
